Tuesday, July 12, 2011 What is it?

I have no idea what this is. It looks like a dandelion but I'm thinking it's not. It's bigger than that and was growing all by itself by the Vedder River. Today I had a dentist appointment and it's been a very long time since I last went there. There is a good reason why I didn't return after my last visit. I ended up with sort of lock jaw thing that was excruciatingly painful and when I inquired why, I was told I would have to go to a specialist out of town to have it seen to. The general consensus was that it was a common occurance and I would need to pay a hundred dollars for a consultation then quite a bit more to treat it. Wait....the dentist was the reason I had it, but the cost of fixing it was up to me. Sounds wrong somehow. I asked if it would fix itself. Maybe...but then it might come back and most patients have recurring bouts. I went to visit a friend and she had once had the same thing. She left it. It went away. I left it. It went away. So when I went back today I informed them of the problem. My hygenist was the roughest I have ever had. Hank concurred. He didn't like her either. My whole mouth was sore. Oh well, it will be a while before I go back. As I babied my mouth in the early evening Melissa and I decided to go to the river to see how much it had come up. We got out of the car but the mosquitoes were abundant and so I quickly snapped this picture and headed back to the car. So until tomorrow I bid you good bye and good dental health.
