Who said Lurline wouldn't ride that scooter?? Well, maybe it was me. Yep, that's who it was. It was I. I just didn't think she would get on that thing and take it for a spin. She certainly showed me a thing or two. So when Lurline and the family got ready to go out to Harrison for the day with Dave's cousins, who are visiting from Portugal, it really took me aback watching her get on the scooter and decide to give it a go.While in her Sunday best skirt and dressed to the nines, Lurline decided this was the day to take the little scooter for a put-put around the driveway. At one point we did all suck in our breath when she seemed to be heading for the bushes but she corrected just in time and before you know it she was back where she started and seemed to have enjoyed the little tootle up the driveway.
I haven't tried it yet. Really afraid of falling. Although I'm not concerned too much with my own peril, I definitely wouldn't want to face Hank if I scratched his new toy. I'm guessing blacktop would definitely show up on a nice white paint job. He should have bought a black one. I could have scratched it several times before he knew I had even tried it out. I couldn't blame it on the kids. That might have worked when the kids were younger but he wouldn't fall for that now. Today is the last push before the party tomorrow and with lots to be yet be done I better get on it. So until tomorrow I bid you good bye and happy motoring.
