Happy birthday to the U.S.of A. Today we were still tired and lethargic from the big bash on Saturday. It didn't stop us from doing a bit more tidying up and completely cleaning the two units and getting them ready for our next guests. In the morning we just hung out and while in the garden I asked the lovely Lisa to pose for me for my picture of the day. She is soooo photogenic and I can honestly say I don't remember seeing a bad picture of her at any time. She has a smile that lights up a room (and a personality to match). I think we are such a lucky family to have had her in our lives all these years. Melissa and Lisa have been friends since high school and I'm sure they really are besties. Thank you Lisa for being you!!
So after Lisa and Scott left it was just the two of us. When Hank came home we continued to move tables back to where they were taken from outside and took down popped balloons and all the party stuff that had to go back into storage. Melissa, Hank and I took a quick soak in the hot tub and when a few mosquitoes made themselves known, we all headed inside for an early night. As I listened to the news about bear maulings, puppies being left in cars and dying, and some idiot that left her baby in a car in the sun while she went to Zellers, it really made me sad. Thank goodness for tomorrow and good things and maybe some news that is not so awful. So until tomorrow I bid you good bye and good thoughts.
