Monday, June 20, 2011 The New Scooter

As I heard the alarm go off this morning, I noticed that it was ten minutes later than when hubby usually gets up. I think he had too much excitement yesterday with his new electric scooter. He was exhausted with joy, but he really needed the extra time to get the bike out of the back porch and figure out where his lunch kit was suppose to go. His lunch is a mini cooler so the only place to put it was between his feet on the floor of the scooter. So off he goes like a kid attending his first day of school. My day was very quiet and there was no hurry to get anything done. The sun finally came out late afternoon but at least it made a showing. I was beginning to think someone had kidnapped it and I for one was willing to pay the ransom. I managed to snap this picture as my smiling hubby came home from work. The scooter makes a little 'beep beep' when you put your signal on and that was the only way I knew he was entering the yard. It's way too quiet for my liking. Almost like a cat burglar. People would never hear it coming down the road behind them. I think he almost wiped out a whole family, parent and kids, that were walking on the bike path running beside the train tracks. He says there are seven people of these scooters lined up at work now. Seven people out of about thirty. Wow....it's going to be a gas saving summer. Well, he loves his, and that's all that counts. So until tomorrow I bid you good bye and happy scooter riding.
