Saturday, July 2, 2011 Party on!!
Well, the big day is here. Mardi Gras party and of course the birthday's that we are celebrating. This is Anne, Melissa and grandma just sittin' and swingin' while the party goes on around them. Mamma looks like she is not really doing anything but I think she is people watching. She likes to keep it on the down low. Of course my daughter would have a drink in her hand. The word party is synonymous with alcohol and fun. We had such a great day today that I really don't know where to start. We got some surprise guests which we always love. We set up the Karaoke outside and heard some awesome singing and saw some entertainment that money couldn't buy. Jack Gove won a prize for gathering the most necklaces. Everyone started out with three Mardi Gras necklaces and when someone said the word "I" someone could steal one. He ended up with over thirty. It was fun to hear people talk about themselves in the third person. We had numberous prizes for Karaoke and Scott took the Most Entertaining Performance. The only way our day could have been better was, if some of our guests that couldn't make it, were there. We really missed them. Later in the evening we switched from Karaoke to guitar and a sing song. What a perfect way to end ones day. Have you ever just loved everyone at a party and you're not even drunk? Well that was me today. So until tomorrow I bid you good bye and party on!!!

Thursday, June 30,2011 Masquerade
We think we have all got our mask made and ready to take first prize at the party on Saturday. I think we did an awesome job. Jack, Melissa, Monica, Lurline, Talia and I all made the ones above and Monica and Melissa made two. We still have lots to do to get ready for the party but things are coming together. I can hardly wait. We are just hoping someone out there is busy doing a sun dance for us. Our plans could all fall apart if it rains. I have faith that our weather will cooperate. I'm not asking for blazing sun, just don't want the wet stuff to make an appearance. We got all the cd's cataloged for the karaoke and have a great selection for all our stars to chose from. Gotta jet as I still have some things to do that can't wait. So until tomorrow I bid you good bye.
