I'm finished with my 100 days of summer so now I would like to share my travel journal ideas with you. Hope you enjoy.

Two days of sunshine and I'm in heaven. Sunshine is always great, but when you live on the west coast of British Columbia, you forget all the horrible days of rain and clouds that came before it. You only remember the sunshine, mountains and lush green vegetation that the rains have left. It's so gorgeous outside that I'm hoping we will dine out there today. Yesterday was a bit chilly so we ate inside with the family. I made chicken noodle soup for supper tonight , something that I'm hoping everyone will enjoy. We also have watermelon so that's an added bonus. It's almost a Mennonite supper. I wanted to make something that I thought Bill and Mary might enjoy. I didn't bake bread or make my own noodles though. I guess we will have to rough it. I could smell the aroma of the soup right through the house and now that I have put the pot in the fridge, I can still smell it. Chicken noodle soup isn't the same without star anise. That's what makes it smell and taste so yummy. So my subject for today was 'a bad habit'. It didn't say it had to be my bad habit, but after two days of thinking about it, I decided it was coffee and cookies in the mid afternoon. As I mentioned before, I don't have a lot of bad habits. If I would have done this blog in my early years, I would have had a plethora of things I could write about. Age has put a damper on those things. Maybe not so much age as a complete loss of interest. Getting drunk was the highlight of my week, now all I think about when I drink is the headache I will inevitably get. So food, mostly junk food, is my bad habit. The computer is probably a close second but let's face it, computer pictures don't really make you want to ohhh and awwww. I did think of taking a picture of somebody else's bad habit, but I couldn't find anyone that would cooperate. Tomorrow's picture should be easy peasy. It's "someone you love". I thought about the cat, but her and I aren't always on speaking terms. The real love of my life is Hank. Don't get me wrong, it's not all bliss, but he's had my heart for 46 years. I guess he will probably be my subject for tomorrow. So enjoy the yellow orb in the sky before it disappears. I'll try to blog again tomorrow.
