The big kahuna and Hilo

The "Big Kahuna" was cut from Life is a Beach. The shark had to be cut separately. I cut the words at 3 1/2 inches and the shark from the original shark at 2 1/2 inches.
I had the brown piece in the middle left over from another project and although I looked for hours to find the right one, I could not find this exact cut in any of the books I looked in. I then just figured you could use any fancy cut for this. "Enough Said" is from
the Graphically Speaking cartridge.
Hilo will be our next port of call so I made a large pocket across half the page. I put lots of journal cards in there.I cut "Hilo" from the Life is a Beach cartridge and cut at 2 inches. The seahorse is from the Life is a Beach cartridge and cut at 2 1/2 inches. The blue journal card that says "waves" is one that I made.
I was so happy to use up some of my flowers. I have tons that are so pretty that I just don't want to use them. If you are a scrapbooker, you will get this.

Vacation 2015

I really like the black and white themes for scrapbooking. Now with the chalkboard look being all the rage, it fits right in with tastes.
There isn't much to say about these layouts. The letters were purchased from the dollar store, frames were bought in a package and the peel and stick is from the large 12 x 12 sheets.

The little booklet in the pocket is from the Project Life boxes of journal cards.
It's a pretty simple layout with nothing cut out of the Cricut cartridges.
The only thing cut out on this page is the beach sign that says "sail away".
I think I mentioned this one of the other layouts.
It's from Walk In My Garden, cut at 3 inches. I used the Dollar Store letters on the sign.
A long time ago I bought a bunch of definitions and have hardly used them . Paper Pizazz puts these out and  there were lots in the book along with some on velum. 243 images in all.
The pocket below is from the same package of frames that I have been using throughout the book.

Maui

I wanted to do a section for every port but not knowing how many pictures I needed for each, I had to guess. I settled on about 8 pages and some of those could be used for pictures on the ship.
This is opposite side of the half page layout. I didn't assign anything in particular to this page and then I can put whatever I like on it.

I did put a pocket on it though. I love the pockets.
This is the Maui page. I didn't include a large pocket so hope I don't have a whole lot of pictures to find spots for. There is a little pocket at the top with a little two page journaling book.
The book was cut from the Art Philosophy cartridge and cut at 3 inches.
"Maui" letters are in the Art Philosophy also. I didn't mark the size down but 2 inches seems right.

Seafood

Knowing that the food on a cruise is one of the high points, I wanted to have pictures of food, pictures of our group eating our food and maybe even our wait staff. I remember how much I looked forward to the waiters dancing half way through our meal on our last two cruises with Carnival. We had excellent waiters and a great hostess. They seemed to know what we liked after our first few meals with them and made suggestions when we were a little asea about what to order. No pun intended.
This page has a mini book in which I can insert pictures.
All the pages of the book are held together with a ribbon and stayed closed with the magnet/paper clip idea. The blue journaling card in the top right says food to remember. The "seafood" title was cut from the From My Kitchen cartridge and cut at 2 inches.
I guess if I wanted to, I could pictures on both sides of the pages.
Here is how it looks when open.
This layout is one the half pages in the book and has one pocket. The diecuts were something I already had in my stash. It was nice to use up odds and ends for this project.
The pocket has one pullout.
I love the little peel and stick sayings thoughout the journal.

Escape

I really liked the colors on these pages too. I cut out the frames and then stamped them with a dot stamp from Close to my Heart Artiste stamp set.
The word "escape" was cut from the Life is a Beach, cut at 3 1/2 inches

The words "Heat wave" and " Beachy Keen" were peel and sticks.
The "fun and sun" were cut from the Artbooking cartridge and cut at 9 inches.  The stamps that are on the front of the pocket are from a bunch of  emphemera that I have collected over the years.
Again there are journaling cards in the pocket.

I love all the interactive stuff I was able to put in this journal.

Summer

I took the letters from the a Summer cut out and used them on this page.
There are two journaling tags in the very large pocket.
I can use these for journaling or pictures.
Little journaling tags that I have tons of. I might stamp something on this one. Have to wait to see what pictures I use.
A whole page of journaling for me to work with. The little booklet, in the top right opens up so I can use a picture in there. The stamp on the bottom right didn't take very well but I can live with it.
This is held together with the magnet/paper clip set up
I might put a backing on the sun side and then have room for two pictures. The booklet is found in Life is a Beach. I cut the card at 5 inches and the sun at 3 1/4 inches.

Karaoke

I think that sometime on this cruise we will end up in the Karaoke lounge. My family all love to sing and have never been bashful when singing in front of others. I'm a bit biased but I feel they have every right to share their talent, they can all sing well. So here's hoping that happens.
These pages are pretty simple and self explanatory. I used a pen to draw the stars freehand and used the white gel pen to out line them. The rest of the stuff is peel and stick and frames.
The little two page booklet is held closed with the slot punch. There is a pocket that runs the length of the bottom of the page. The words "Night owl" was cut out of Artbooking at 4 inches.
