Escape

I really liked the colors on these pages too. I cut out the frames and then stamped them with a dot stamp from Close to my Heart Artiste stamp set.
The word "escape" was cut from the Life is a Beach, cut at 3 1/2 inches

The words "Heat wave" and " Beachy Keen" were peel and sticks.
The "fun and sun" were cut from the Artbooking cartridge and cut at 9 inches.  The stamps that are on the front of the pocket are from a bunch of  emphemera that I have collected over the years.
Again there are journaling cards in the pocket.

I love all the interactive stuff I was able to put in this journal.

Summer

I took the letters from the a Summer cut out and used them on this page.
There are two journaling tags in the very large pocket.
I can use these for journaling or pictures.
Little journaling tags that I have tons of. I might stamp something on this one. Have to wait to see what pictures I use.
A whole page of journaling for me to work with. The little booklet, in the top right opens up so I can use a picture in there. The stamp on the bottom right didn't take very well but I can live with it.
This is held together with the magnet/paper clip set up
I might put a backing on the sun side and then have room for two pictures. The booklet is found in Life is a Beach. I cut the card at 5 inches and the sun at 3 1/4 inches.

Karaoke

I think that sometime on this cruise we will end up in the Karaoke lounge. My family all love to sing and have never been bashful when singing in front of others. I'm a bit biased but I feel they have every right to share their talent, they can all sing well. So here's hoping that happens.
These pages are pretty simple and self explanatory. I used a pen to draw the stars freehand and used the white gel pen to out line them. The rest of the stuff is peel and stick and frames.
The little two page booklet is held closed with the slot punch. There is a pocket that runs the length of the bottom of the page. The words "Night owl" was cut out of Artbooking at 4 inches.

Under the sea

This is one of my favorite layouts in this book. I love the colors and how everything came together nicely.
I have nothing in particular planned for this page. It's just a fun page.
The pocket in the front has a stamp on it from Dyan Reavely called Under the Sea. She has such fun stamps. I stamped it with embossing ink and sprinkled white embossing powder on it. The little tag at the back says 'remember'. There is also a large pocket that was  torn and distressed in black in ink.
This is the pull out from the pocket. The stamp in the corner was supposed to be a typewriter but it's not the greatest stamp and didn't turn out very well.
A closer look at the pocket and the insert.
I cut "Under the Sea" out of  Pack Your Bags and cut at 3 inches.

Movie Night

I actually made this and then realized that on the Legend they don't have the big screen on the Lido Deck. I got it confused with our cruise on the Splendor two cruises ago. I'm not sure how or if I can make this work but we will see what happens.
I have already discussed the film strip, the frame and the word "friends" so that only leaves the words "Movie Night". I found that on the Artiste cartridge. I cut mine at 1 1/4 inches.
I didn't like any of the popcorn boxes that I could find on the cartridges and then remembered that I had bought a Sizzix die for a box and the popcorn. That is what I used for this layout. I chalked around the edges of the popcorn with an orange chalk to give it some dimension. The frame at the top has a pocket for any journaling. Hope this works out for me.

Shopping pages

I'm hoping to get some pictures of everyone, or someone from our group, shopping. I also want a picture of the stores on the ship. I have four pages that I can use for this.
I have to say I'm not overly thrilled with these pages. I was really grasping. In hindsight I found much better things that I could have used on here. These were all from Forever Young. .
Lady 3 inches
Chic 1 1/2 inches
Nail polish 1 1/2 and 2 inches
Word "Bling" 1 inch
Dress forms 1 1/2 inche
Word "Shoes" 1 inch
Actual shoes 1 inch

Whoa....bad photography. The pictures used as the background was just some paper I had and I cut these out of it. I have another large pocket  and border was from my pages of peel and stick smash stuff.

Seriously 3.4 of an inch
Hat 1 1/4 inches
Seriously 3.4 of an inch
This was the journaling insert for the pocket

Luau pages

I had already made this page thinking that a person doesn't visit Hawaii and not go to a Luau. We had such a search for the right one. We only had one overnight in one of the ports, so we weren't sure if we could even find one that would be in port long enough for us to take one in . We did finally find one so I'm glad I did the pages. This is one of the things I didn't foresee when making the book.
I really liked the colors on these two pages. Turquoise, blue and grey. Perfect together.
I'm not really sure what info you would need here. I have a stamp that I used for the crab on the card at the top of the page. Film strip for pictures. Peel and stick for the "For ordinary people, food is heaven" sticker. and another peel and stick from the large pages I bought for the smash journals. Luau is cut from the Life is a Beach cartridge. cut at 2 inches.
I made another large pocket for memorabilia.

I love the googly eyes on the crab. This was cut from Life is a Beach. No idea of the size but if you do it don't leave off the eyes. Picture frames from the same pack I mentioned before but don't know the name of. Behind the pictures, once they are in here, there are two journaling cards. I did embellish with some washi tape.

The saying is clear plastic and purchased from the dollar store.

No shirt, no shoes, no problem/ Queen of everything.

The page on the left is another half page. Again I used the peel and stick for the little sign that says, No shirt, no shoes, no service.
These pages were pretty simple. Frame from Artbooking and some washi tape to hold it down. It does flip up and has a little journaling card underneath. The frame is held down with another magnet and paper clip.
Ah.....the queen of everything. That will be me. So just a couple of pictures of me and this page will be done. I'm not a selfie person so hoping someone else takes some. "Queen of Everything " is from the Graphically Speaking but I don't have the size. The frame was from Artbooking and think the size might be 9 inches.

Somehow I forgot to take a picture of both the next pages together but it's no biggie. At least I didn't skip over them altogether. I already mentioned the above frames and where you can get them from on the Cartridges. This film strip is on page 60 of Artbooking. The words "Capture the details" are from the Artbooking cartridge and cut at 9 inches. The word "Smile" is a peel and stick.
You can get pages of stuff for smash journals and that is where the flip flops came from. They were on Summer Bliss by Lori Whitlock. I love these pages of stickers and fun sayings. It's from the Echo Park Paper company.
This little saying went so well with the theme on this page that I had to put it in the pocket. to pull out the journaling card. I even had room at the bottom of the card to put a picture.

Summer and bikini pages

I have tried to put a lot of generic pages as I don't want to run out of room to put pictures that I hadn't counted on taking. The summer page was another one of those pages. I also wanted somewhere to put more than one picture so the black frame on the front opens to reveal another frame. Both these frames are found in Art Philosophy and cut at 5 inches.  These are held closed with a very thin round black magnet from the dollar store, and a round paper clip from some fancy ones that I purchased from Staples. I used a narrow ribbon to tie them together and glued just the bottom frame down.
This page was pretty simplistic. Large pocket, room for two photos and a little journal and large journal.
I also took a white gel pen and outlined the black frames with lines. "Summer" was cut out of the Cricut and then I kept all the letters to use somewhere else in the book if I needed them. They were
cut out at 1 1/4 inches. I think it had to try this several times to see if the lettering would go across the top and not be too small. I put a strip of turquoise paper behind the word to make it pop. The words 'good times" was cut from Wall Decor, cut at 2 inches.

I made a tag from the journaling cards and put a tab on the top so it can easily be pulled out of the pocket. The little journaling card in the top right is held down by washi tape. You will see quite a few of the tabs that say PULL on the cards. I cut out the tabs from Artiste cartridge and cut at 3 inches.I just cut out three sheets of them in black, green and a rust color,

This page was done with my granddaughter in mind. I have no idea if she has a bikini but just wanted a picture of her by the pool. The bikini itself was cut from the Lifes a Beach cartridge. I cut it at 6 inches I think. I then took some turquoise sparkle paper I had, and punched out some circles for the polka dots. The small bikini I just used stickles.   In the song, "She Wore a Yellow Polka Dot Bikini", I could never figure out if the bathing suit was yellow and had polka dots on it or if it was another color and had yellow polka dots on it. lol
The words "Teeny Bikini" is also on the same page and I cut it out at 3 1/2 inhes. The frame is in Artbooking and one could be cut at 7 and one at 5 or even 3. I have a little stamp with flip flops that I used for the first time. I thnk it was from Michaels in their dollar bin.
The journaling booklet needed something on the front so I added a peel and stick and cut out a wee bikini. Don't know what size that was.

Honolulu and Family pages

I like the colors on both these pages. Not really complimentary to each other but it works.

I realized after I got a few pages done that I hadn't done one for Honolulu, which is our first port, and we have two days there. I'm sure some of the pages will be out of sync but I can work with that.
The palm trees were cut from Artbooking at about 5 or 6 inches. The word "Honolulu" was cut from Art Philosophy at 1 inch. Each letter was cut out separately. The frame was from Artbooking and I have the cut written down at 10 3/4 but I cut a few so not sure if this is accurate.
The journaling card in the right hand top corner was homemade. I made the pocket on this page quite large also as I might need to put pictures in it. The huge picture on the front might be for a group picture. I figured it should be quite large as there are 8 of us going. If the opportunity doesn't arise then a nice picture of  Honolulu will suffice.

I'm hoping to get a family picture here. Actually  4 of them. I'm not sure where I got the background paper for the film strip but it does go nicely with the rest of the page. " Family" was cut from Artbooking at 1 inch. I purchased a book of paper from DCWV called Ledger stack. It had 36 sheets of 6 X 12 inch paper in it. The white paper that is behind the embellishments was from that stack. I added a row of lace to the bottom of the piece. I have a variety of stamp embellishments that I used a few times in here. They are great for a corner that just needs a little something. I made the journal pocket with stamps, the daisy border and 3 copper brads. The little heart in the corner was in a bunch of  frames I bought for my smash book.
If you go online you find all kinds of sites to print out journaling cards. The card in the pocket was one of those that I printed out on cardstock.
